Grouphug 2023 Product Roadmap Survey: The results

We asked, and you answered. Over 200 responses to our product survey - wow, we love our community!

One month ago, Emma & I were sitting down to decide what products we wanted to release this year. We thought they were all ~amazing~ ideas and couldn't decide! So we wanted to hear what the Grouphug community thought. We sent out our 2023 Product Roadmap Survey hoping at least 50 people would respond... and over 200 of you did.

The results REALLY surprised us.

THE TL;DR

The top 3 product ideas you all loved most: Window Solar Charger 2.0, DIY Window Solar Charger Kit, and a mini Solar Cat charger.

THE PRODUCT IDEAS THAT PEOPLE LOVED

Window Solar Charger 2.0
80% of people were most interested in the Window Solar Charger coming back – however many responses surprised us. You said you prefer the original solar cell pattern over the new herringbone one. Should we bring back the classic one?!

DIY kit of the Window Solar Charger
Over 50% of you liked the idea of a DIY version of the solar charger that you (or your kids) could assemble themselves. Cool!

THESE IDEAS GOT MIXED REVIEWS

DIY Solar Gingerbread House
The feelings about a solar gingerbread house were mixed! Some people liked the idea of a little solar house to display, but didn't like the idea of it being only for the holiday times. So maybe the answer is designing a little kit that works year round.

Mini Solar Cat Charger
Almost 50% of you liked this idea... but I think the remaining 50% are dog people :D

PEOPLE HATED THESE IDEAS!

Solar Uterus
Over 60% of you did NOT like the uterus charger AT ALL. Some people loved the idea of donating to a good cause, but didn't want an organ hanging in their window. We hear you, fair enough!

Solar Bucket Hat
Over 60% of you did NOT like the solar bucket hat! Worries about how well it would work or handle wear and tear were concerns.  This really surprised us!

You gave us a lot to think about and we are re-evaluating our product roadmap thanks to all your feedback! Thank you so much!

P.S.: there's a waitlist to be the first to know when we're back in stock!
